Pelikan is celebrating this anniversary with an exclusive limited edition.
The black-and-green striped anniversary icon pays tribute to the first fountain pen that was launched under the Souverän brand in 1982. The quintessential Pelikan stripes are an unmistakable symbol of the Souverän brand. Each stripe possesses individual nuances; none is like the other. For decades, they have been a source of fascination for fans around the world.

Our broad collection of fountain pen inks contains a vast range of bright and shining colors. Whether you use our classic ink 4001 or our Edelstein Ink that ensures extra smooth writing and care for your fountain pen.

Due to its characteristics, this special ink is also called “India® ink for fountain pens”. Among other things, it contains a higher ratio of soot, which settles in the fine capillaries of the ink regulator. Leaving the pen open, without putting the cap back on when you are finished writing, will anticipate the process.

Working with no less an authority on cerebral matters than Dr. Richard Restak, M.D., Montegrappa is proud to announce one of the most ambitious pens in its illustrious history. To create a pen that represents the complexities of the very organ it celebrates, Montegrappa’s designers drew inspiration from the brain itself.

The first model was produced in 1921 and was a large pen – 5.5 inches long when capped. It was made of a showy bright red hard rubber and expensively priced at $7.00, equivalent to $106 in 2021. The original full-sized Duofold was soon joined by the smaller Duofold Junior, Duofold Special, and Lady Duofold. While the Junior and Special could also be fitted with Parker’s Washer Clip, the Lady Duofold was available with a Chatelaine, or Ring Top for hanging around one's neck. The Ring Top would also appear on Parker's Vest Pocket models, for being attached to a watch fob.
